What is a Men’s Shed

A Men’s Shed is much more than just the traditional Australian “backyard shed”.

Whilst the latter are often solitary, a Men’s Shed is both a ‘family of men’ and a physical safe place where men can socialise with like-minded men; where they can share their life experiences and tell yarns; where they can make things for themselves or for their community.

It is a place where new friendships or new skills can be made. 

Most importantly, it is a special place that nurtures the health and wellness of men in an environment of friendship and support.
