The Denmark Men’s Shed has been growing from strength to strength over seven years. We now have a fully operational workshop with trained operators. Our meeting room is spacious and comes with a wood heater and modern kitchen.
The Denmark Men’s Shed has had as a core aim, improving men’s health. We do this by providing a supportive network based on the values of care, respect, dignity and fellowship. Currently we have an intergenerational membership of over 60.
Our plan was to build a community centre that supports all interested community groups. There are times when our shed is not in use by Men’s Shed members. We would love to see women take up the opportunity we offer and join us as associate members at $55 for annual membership.
Even if you know little to nothing about working with wood, we have trainers with decades of experience to show you how to use tools and get started.
The Denmark Men’s Shed is holding an information evening to gauge the interest in setting up and supporting a women’s associate hub at the shed.
The meeting is planned for Thursday 6th of July at 6.00pm at the Men’s Shed, 2D Inlet Drive (opposite the Caravan Park).
